Hope Solutions’ (Hope Solutions) backpack giveaway traditionally signifies the end of an exciting jam packed summer. This year, in addition to receiving brand new backpacks stocked with school supplies, the Pleasant Hill Rotary Club added some pizazz to Hope Solutions’s Garden Park Apartments kick-off to the school year by hosting a Back-to-School cookout and talent show. Recent studies show that back to school anxiety is common for all youth, especially those with learning disabilities and have experienced trauma. Thanks to Pleasant Hill Rotary Club, back to school anxiety was transformed into back to school excitement by engaging families in a fun event during an often stressful time. Thank you, Pleasant Hill Rotary Club and to all those who donated backpacks and school supplies, for providing our youth and families with a positive and unique experience to commemorate the start of the year!
