National Charity League – Acalanes Chapter, has been part of the Hope Solutions family for almost a decade. NCL Acalanes is a group of moms and daughters who are committed to community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences. The service group works to strengthen the mother-daughter relationship by serving the community.
We asked NCL volunteer, Beth Chang, what inspires their group to volunteer with Hope Solutions:
We are so grateful to be able to contribute volunteer resources at Hope Solutions! It’s inspiring to see the work they are doing in our community that is helping people every day to climb out of homelessness and become self-sufficient. Hope Solutions truly goes beyond basic support to offer people hope and a pathway over the long term. NCL loves partnering with Hope Solutions because we both have the same mission to help communities thrive.
For the last nine years, NCL Acalanes has partnered with Hope Solutions in many ways, including filling hundreds of backpacks for our Annual Backpack Drive, providing gifts for residents for our Spirit of Giving program, as well as raffle prizes for holiday parties at our Garden Park Apartments and hosting fun Summer Camp programming at Los Medanos Village, one of our East County sites.
On October 14th, NCL Acalanes provided and served dinner for the families at Garden Park Apartments. A group of ten moms and daughters served delicious baked ziti and meatballs to the families and reminded the kids to eat their vegetables.
Hope Solutions is grateful for the continuous partnership with NCL Acalanes. We hope for many more years of fun-filled memories!
