Volunteers and local businesses came together to build a beautiful new vegetable garden at Lakeside Apartments. Thanks to master gardener, Bobbie Preston, for coordinating and being an integral part of this project and to Moraga Garden Farms, Orchard Supply Hardware in Moraga and Concord, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, and Mt. Diablo Landscape for donating cinder blocks, soil, plants and more to make this garden a reality. Homework Club students learned how to plant fresh herbs and vegetables and will continue to maintain the garden. Here’s to healthy living!
