Hope Solutions (Hope Solutions) is extremely grateful to the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church (LOPC) One Sunday volunteers who came to Hope Solutions’s Garden Park Apartments (GPA) site in Pleasant Hill on a beautiful and chilly Sunday morning last month to help improve the common areas at GPA. Our residents cannot wait to plant and harvest vegetables in the fresh dirt that was provided, and to share in the memories that will be made in the community garden. Residents will also enjoy the bike rack that will protect resident bikes (the only form of transportation that most residents own) from rain and theft, which has been a challenge in the past. The biggest surprise of the day came from the wonderful group of volunteer families that provided creative fun activities and a pizza lunch for everyone. GPA families were thrilled with the warm sense of community and merriment. Thank you Jolyn and Lisa from LOPC for spearheading this project! We are grateful for your support.
