Gabi Mendoza
Housing Navigator
Gabi is the bilingual Family Justice Center/STAND! housing navigator. She is first generation in the United States. Gabi was born and raised in the Bay Area and currently lives in the East Bay with her daughter, Juliette. She holds a BA in Psychology with a minor in Child Psychology from California State University, East Bay, where she is also pursuing her Master in Social Work and hopes to graduate in May 2024.
In her spare time, Gabi practice self-care, including prayer, exercising, meditating, spas days, park days with her daughter and vacationing. She likes to explore new places and try new food. When at home, you can find Gabi lounging on the couch watching tv or doing arts and crafts. She enjoys making things like t-shirts and custom tumblers. She is also a Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and Harry Potter fan so movie marathons every now and again are a must.
Gabi is passionate about helping and taking care of others. She loves working with people and watching them grow out of traumatic experiences. She believes that she can be the light at the end of the tunnel for many of my clients and it fills her with joy to be able to assist them, which sometimes just means listening.
What do you love about working at Hope Solutions?
Working with Hope Solutions has given me so much. It has given me the opportunity to help people in a new capacity and to grow as a person. I am very fortunate to work with an organization that cares equally about its clients and employees.
