Alex Atkinson

Chief Operating Officer

Alex’s social work career started in 1991 in New York City, where he earned a BA in Theater from NYU and an MSW degree in Social Work Administration from Hunter College. Alex has worked at a foster family agency in the Bronx, a family services organization in Oakland, a transitional housing non-profit in Oakland and Los Angeles, and a case management and systems improvement program providing services in Riverside and LA Counites.

He joined Hope Solutions in 2019 after a year in corporate philanthropy in Washington, D.C. and is so honored to work at an organization that is committed to our values and mission. He is also happy to be back in the Bay Area rooting for the home teams (go Giants!).
