Why I donate to Hope Solutions

At the time, he was living in a bedroom in a condo owned by a family member.  The living conditions deteriorated, and it became necessary to contact Contra Costa Couty Adult Protective Services (APS).  He received a call from Naomi Kirby at Hope Solutions to discuss his living situation. When Naomi learned of his circumstances, she immediately offered moving services plus two months’ rent – a gift beyond measure for someone with a fragile income status.  

Naomi was present on moving day, and I learned from her that Adult Protective Services (APS) had referred him to Hope Solutions. She explained that APS is one of the entry points to a network of services available through Hope Solutions. This information amazed me because I had little idea about where to begin on the 211 Database and had a couple of frustrating false starts. 

Thanks to Hope Solutions, my friend is now stable, and we can begin exploring additional services to help him live a more secure and hopeful life. 

You gave my friend hope that there IS powerful help available. It energized him to keep moving forward and reinforced our commitment to the vision of my friend being comfortably housed, financially stable, and happy. Not only has he benefited from the services provided by Hope Solutions, but I, too, have been strengthened and encouraged to go forward. I can’t not give back to Hope Solutions for what you have given me.
