Staff Spotlight: Angela Moore is 2020 World AIDS Day Celebration Award Recipient

The World AIDS Day Committee honored Hope Solutions’ staff member Angela Moore at the 2020 World AIDS Day Celebration on December 4th. Angela is a Senior Housing Advocate for the Housing Advocacy Program which annually assists 150 vulnerable residents across Contra Costa County to find and keep affordable and decent housing. Angela was nominated for the award, “Surviving 2020: Honoring Our Resistance and Resilience” for her continued hard work and dedication throughout this time of uncertainty.
 
For homeless and at-risk persons living with HIV/AIDS, Angela provides face-to-face intakes and assessments, landlord/tenant mediation, eviction prevention support, housing search and placement, and education to promote housing readiness and stability. In addition, Angela helps clients secure financial assistance from County programs to promote housing stability and health. Angela has also stepped up within the past year to serve on the Oakland Transitional Grant Area Planning Council, supporting efforts to ensure equitable distribution of Ryan White funds to the Alameda and Contra Costa County communities.
