Hope Solutions is proud to announce the receipt of two significant grants from the Contra Costa County Community Impact Fund—a funding initiative designed by the County Board of Supervisors to address urgent community needs using one-time federal COVID-19 reserves. Each of the five Supervisors was allotted $1 million to allocate to organizations making a difference within their communities, informed by public input and countywide priorities such as housing, youth services, and health.
Being selected for funding by both Supervisor Candace Andersen (District 2) and Supervisor Ken Carlson (District 4) is a testament to the breadth and effectiveness of Hope Solutions’ programs. This cross-district recognition highlights our work’s reach across Contra Costa County—from serving youth and families at risk of homelessness to providing permanent housing and holistic support.
District 2 Community Impact Fund
District 2 Supervisor Candace Andersen awarded Hope Solutions $50,000 from the Community Impact Fund. Half supports upgrades to Pomona House, a Transitional Age Youth (TAY) housing program and half strengthens our Coordinated Entry Prevention and Diversion program, which helps more people avoid homelessness through direct supportive services and financial assistance.
District 4 Community Impact Fund
District 4 Supervisor Ken Carlson directed Community Impact Fund resources to support our Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) at Garden Park Apartments. This program offers comprehensive, year-round academic, emotional, and enrichment support for youth and families overcoming homelessness. Success will be evaluated by the number of children served and the percentage showing academic improvement, using robust data practices to ensure accountability and high standards.
A Legacy of Impact
Hope Solutions is grateful to the Board of Supervisors for supporting our vision and for recognizing programs that address the diverse and urgent needs across Contra Costa County. These awards allow us to continue our support to heal the effects of poverty, homelessness, and trauma.
