William Goodwin, one of Hope Solutions’ Resident Empowerment Program (REP) Leaders, will be on this panel discussion to share specific technical aspects of finding an affordable rental home in the Bay Area.

Affordable rent is defined as 30% of a renter’s monthly income. Did you know that the median rent in Contra Costa County has increased 25% since 2000, while median renter income has decreased by 3%?  The average rent for a 2-bedroom apartment is $2,383. This would require an annual salary of $95,320 for this rent to be “affordable”.
